Since Mark Gale, of the TAAN agency Charelston|Orwig, is much too nervous to even talk about this — let alone blog it to the world — I thought I’d let everyone know:
According to the USA Swimming Website, Mark’s son Garrett Weber-Gale just swam an American Record 47.78 for the fastest 50 meter freestyle in the first round of the Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska, besting Mark Phelps by almost two tenths of a second.
The finals for the Men’s 50 Meter is Saturday evening and it will be televised on NBC.
You can also track the results on the Omega Timing Results Site.
Go Garrett.
